Maniax End Season With Win over Outlaws
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Jim Druckenmiller threw for 152 yards and a touchdown to lead Memphis to a season-ending 16-3 victory over Las Vegas on Saturday night in the XFL
Memphis finished 5-5, while the Outlaws lost five out of their last six games for a 4-6 record. Both teams missed the playoffs.
The Maniax opened the scoring midway through the first quarter on Ketric Sanford's 2-yard run, and made it 10-0 late in the quarter on Jeff Hall's 20-yard field goal.
Memphis scored on its third straight possession when Druckenmiller connected with Charles Jordan on a 5-yard scoring strike early in the second quarter.
Las Vegas' Paul McCallum kicked a 34-yard field goal with three seconds left in the first half.
