The
Demons return to Pac Bell Stadium as the home favorite
against a defensively powerful Las Vegas Outlaw squad.

San
Francisco - (24 February 2001) -- For
the first time in three games, the San Francisco Demons are
the home favorite.
Amazingly, the underdogs are the Las Vegas Outlaws, who have
yet to allow a touchdown this season!
The
Demons are coming back from a 1-1 road trip that ended in a
come from behind win over the Memphis Maniax. Down 0-6 at the
half, the Demons responded with two unanswered touchdown to
seal the game.
Again, Vaughn Dunbar had a terrible game, with four rushes for
NEGATIVE four yards. He was pulled out at the half, in favor
of Terry Battle. Battle was activated before the game to fill
the roster spot vacated when TE Brian Roche was placed on injured
reserve with a season-ending achilles tendon injury. Battle
had six rushes for 25 yards, but won the game with two touchdown
catches from Mike Pawlawski. Pawlawski is approaching 1,000
yards passing after just three games (803).
The
Demons are looking to continue their string of most consecutive
games with an interception. Last game they had three interceptions.
One by Kevin Kaesviharn, Wendell Davis and Emile Palmer. I'm
sure that Outlaw QB Mike Cawley will NOT throw another interception.
What you say? How can he not? Well, the Outlaw just reported
that Mike Cawley has been waived to make room for QB Mark Grieb.
Remember
He Hate Me? Well, he will face the Demons D that allowed just
29 yards rushing to the Maniax. He Hate Me, you will soon hate
the Demons too!
The
Demons will be broadcast nation wide through TNN at 1pm PST.
All San Francisco games will be carried in northern California.
The flagship organization for the game broadcasts is Clear Channel
Communications, Inc., feeding affiliate KABL-AM (960). Roxy
Bernstein of the California Radio Network and former NFL safety
Merton Hanks will describe the action. The pre-game show will
be carried on both 92 KSJO and KABL.
